Smile Cookies are back at Tim Horton’s and hosts of volunteers are setting into Humboldt’s outlet to put smiles on faces – both cookie and human.

The proceeds from Smile Cookie Days, on from today, April 29 to Sunday May 5, go to projects through the Humboldt and District Hospital Foundation. Lorrie Bunko, director of the HDHF is excited for the volunteers to be back in, prepping the Smile Cookies for the stores and to head out to communities.

“We have a big week where we’ll be heading out to local communities, and we always look forward to that,” Lorrie says. “We’ve been just overwhelmed with the number of volunteers who came forward wanting to decorate cookies.”

Residents in Middle Lake, Lake Lenore, Leroy, Muenster, and Watson can pick up smile cookies in their own communities as HDHF board members and volunteers take to the road. There’s also still time to get in on group ordering, says Bunko.

“Pre-order forms are available on our website at www.hdhfoundation.ca, right on the homepage – just click on the Smile Cookie poster. Give us a call at (306) 682-4450 and we can email it to you, For rural communities, contact your town office; they will have order forms.”

Expect announcements soon regarding equipment and services tackling new and ongoing needs at the Humboldt Health Centre that will receive funding.
