Members of the Wadena Fire Department responded to a call on the night of Sunday, Nov 3 to a fire involving a camper within town limits.

Deputy Fire Chief Brian Webber says that the on-site members performed a quick knockdown of the trailer and extinguished the blaze before there was any damage to surrounding structures. Fire crews removed propane tanks during suppression to prevent any further damage.

The owner of the camper noticed the glow of the blaze from his residence. The camper was fully involved by the time the call was made.

Webber states the cause of the blaze is undetermined at this time. No suspicious activity was reported. RCMP are currently investigating.
