Producers taking part in the Ministry of Agriculture's production workshops in Saskatchewan this week are learning more about a farm friendly app that can streamline their information.

Jared Haight, a marketing adviser with Farmlink Marketing Solutions is taking part in the meetings across the province this week.

He's talking to producers abut the record keeping and data management features of their Farm at Hand app.

"If you have a couple of guys seeding they can both enter their activity for the day, if you have an agronomist coming out to scout he can enter notes and observations so they are set for you for your records. You can set tasks for future dates if you need to be assigning spraying to a hired hand or if you need to just set a reminder for yourself."

He adds that the app also allows producers to easily access equipment information.

"This allows farmers to have easy access to simple things like serial numbers, model numbers, year of machine, if you are in town and need to find a part number or know what number oil filter to get, that can all be recorded in the app."

The app is free for producers, you can learn more here.
