Canadian Western Agribition is less than one week away and everyone is gearing up for another great event.

The annual event showcase is best known for having the best of the best in livestock genetics.

Agribition President Stewart Stone says they have excellent support from the beef sector and continue to work on improving facilities.

He notes this year they will be able to make partial use of the new International Trade Centre.

"The International Trade Centre is under construction. We will have use of 2/3 of it this year - it'll be fully completed for next year. We'll be housing animals in it and it's really a nice facility," he said.

The Agribition President also discusses the importance of the event.

"Agribition certainly is 'the' beef show in Canada and one of the top two or three in North America. It's a great opportunity for us to show the world what we have to offer and to do business. This province is a leader in agriculture world-wide," he said.

Canadian Western Agribition runs November 21st to 26th at Regina’s Evraz Place.
