Farmers around the Province are being encouraged to register for next week's Oilseed Producer Meetings.

Producers will have a chance to learn more about what's happening in the industry, the markets, insect and disease updates as well as sprayer technology.

Regional Crop Specialist Kaeley Kindrachuk explains what organizations are behind the meetings.

"As we saw this year, 2016 was quite a challenging year for producers across the province.

These meetings are a partnership between the Ministry of Agriculture, Sask Canola, Sask Flax, and Sask Mustard.

We really just want to give producers an opportunity to ask any questions they might have," she said.

Kindrachuk says they hope to address some producer issues.

"We're going to hear a market update from Chuck Penner, we'll hear a little bit about sprayer technology from Tom Wolf, and a Ministry of Ag disease and insect update.

Then we'll also have agronomists from the Flax Council of Canada, the Canola Council of Canada, and the Agri-ARM sites as well," she said.

Oilseed Producer Meetings are set for Monday, November 14 in Weyburn, Tuesday, November 15 in Humboldt, Wednesday, November 16 in Prince Albert, Thursday, November 17 in Rosetown and Friday, November 18th in Swift Current.
