Information Services Corporation is once again preparing to honour century old family farms.

Jeff Stusek, President and CEO of ISC says they are pleased to honour Saskatchewan families that have continuously farmed or ranched their land for the past hundred years or more.

"To apply, hit our website or they can call us at 1-866-275-4721 or they can visit one of our service centres across Saskatchewan."

Humboldt's office is located in the Geschaft Centre, their number is 682-6782.

Stusek says it's a great way to honour the heritage that helped to shape our province.

"With the records we store I think this is a fantastic celebration for the people of Saskatchewan. The farmers, the ranchers that have been the backbone, this is my favourite event every year. Getting out there and listening to the stories and shaking hands with the families that have gone through 100 years of farming or ranching."

March 15th is the application deadline for the 2017 awards, which will be handed out June 6th in Regina and June 7th in Saskatoon.

Families receive century family farm award certificates, a copy of the original land grant or title as well as an indoor wall plaque or they can opt to purchase a wooden gate sign.
