Lab testing has begun at the University of Saskatchewan on a prototype vaccine for bovine tuberculosis.
Andrew Potter is Chief Executive Officer of the school's Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization -- International Vaccine Centre.
He says early lab testing has just begun on the first of a planned 250 animals, and they hope to start field testing a prototype within two years.
Dozens of ranches remain quarantined in Alberta and Saskatchewan after six animals tested positive for TB last fall.
