Catching up on more baseball action from the past weekend, it was mixed results for the East Central AAA U15 Dodgers as they went head-to-head with a pair of SPBL foes.

On Saturday, the Dodgers got it going with the Regina Wolfpack. The Dodgers picked up both wins in the double header.

The opening game was a decisive 10-2 romp with Everitt Solar going 3 for 4 at the plate including a triple and a double. Jaxson Schleper and Reid Griffith each had RBIs, and Schleper and Camden Suchan both singled to drive in runs. Luke Manz was the winning pitcher.

The second game was a tight 4-3 affair in favour of the Dodgers. A tight pitching and defensive game saw the Wolfpack up 3-2 at the bottom of the seventh when Kyler Fischer singled to drive in the tying and winning runs.

On Sunday, it was a double duel against the Regina White Sox, where the fortunes turned for the Dodgers.

In the opening game, the Dodgers fell 11-8 despite out hitting their opponents 14-10 and carrying a five-run lead at one point.

In the closing match, it was a 10-run offensive juggernaut that carried the White Sox to a 12-0 shoutout. The scoring was done after the third inning with the Regina squad dominating with 15 hits.

The Dodgers are off to Saskatoon to face the Astros tomorrow.
