The 18U AA Muenster Red Sox hung in with a strong defensive effort last night against the Saskatoon Blue Jays, but a three run 6th inning turned the tide for the Jays as they walked away with a 4-3 win.

The Red Sox jumped out to an early lead on a sacrifice fly from Lyndon Loessl. They followed up with a ground out by Luke Eagles to send Jordan Sparks across the plate. From there, the two teams ratcheted up the defense to see no scoring until the 6th when the Jays’ bats went to work. Four straight singles drove in a pair of runs and the Jays capitalized on a home plate steal for the winning run.

Brock Leibel was the winning pitcher for the Jays while Jordan Sparks led the way in hitting for the Red Sox going 2 for 3 at the plate.

The AA Sox are back on home turf in Marysburg tomorrow when the Saskatoon Athletics roll in.
