The Reid Thompson Library will host Alzheimer Society Saskatchewan for a presentation on the ABCs of Dementia. This informative talk will be presented on Tuesday, May 28 from 1:00 – 2:00 pm. First Link coordinator Nicole Werner will be on hand to provide the information.

Attendees will learn some of the key indicators of dementia and learn about the difference between dementia and associated Alzheimer’s Disease. In Saskatchewan, an estimated 20,000 people are living with dementia, and every 24 hours, 10 more people are living with it, according to statistics provided by the Alzheimer Society.

Identification of key factors or signs of early onset dementia are crucial to providing an appropriate and early diagnosis and treatment.
