This weekend marks the first pitches for the Richardson Pioneer Men’s Fastball League, and for the Rosebud Royals, it means a new home.  The historic team that draws its name from the  community area and hall between Wadena and Kelvington is composed of players largely from those two communities.

The new North Shore Fishing Lake Diamond located near Saskin Beach will see its first game of the year as the Rhein Rockets roll in to take on the Royals. The new diamond is situated on the Kuroki Community Club Green Space. The  grand re-opening of the space, which is headed up by the North Shore Recreation Revitalization Group, is slated for later in August.

Richardson Pioneer League action continues on Sunday as the Rhein Rockets and the Wynyard Blues play a double header. Game times are set for 2 and 4 pm.
