Big Brothers Big Sisters in Humboldt has wrapped up Bowl for Kids Sake 2016.

The annual fundraising event brought in $33,500 this year.

Marketing and Recruitment Coordinator Stacey Poss says the event is usually a success since it's such an easy fundraiser for people to get on board with.

"I think it's an opportunity for businesses and staff and everybody to come out and have fun together, it's something different they can do and everybody can do."

BBBS will hold a chilli dog sale on March 10th at the Humboldt Coop where ScotiaBank will match the funds raised at the lunch.

The Bowl for Kids event is key for the organization over the course of the year said Poss, "It's our biggest fundraiser absolutely, so it's so important for us for sure."

The Humboldt Broncos came out to the bowling portion along with raising funds for BBBS.

Conexus Credit Union provided a $1000 sponsorship, and RBC also donated a $1000 grant from their Team Action grant.

Humboldt and Lanigan Coop also had a challenge which was new this year and the Humboldt Cadets were involved with the fundraiser as well.

Discovery Ford helped to bring in funds, and Farm World won the ag business trophy.

The theme this year was superhero's with prizes awarded to the best dressed team.
