Belle Plaine and Blake Berglund graced the stage at the Humboldt Gathering Place last night.

The unique performance included many originals written by the pair who have been on the road together for about 3 years now.

Berglund's hits include, "Words Gettin' Round", and "Funny Thing About You Leaving."

Hailing from Kennedy, SK, Berglund was awarded the Roots Artist of the Year award at the 2013 Saskatchewan Country Music Awards.

Originally from Rose Valley, Belle Plaine packs an amazingly strong vocal range leaving the audience wanting more.

The duo flawlessly combined their own original songs and performed covers of Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn's "After the Fire is Gone," as well as Miranda Lambert's "Dry Town," and "Mercury Blues," made famous by Alan Jackson.

Plaine and Berglund were accompanied on stage by guitarist Bryce Lewis from Kyle, SK and drummer Steve Leidal of Moose Jaw, SK.

Their next stop is tonight in Swift Current.

If you missed out on the Humboldt performance, make sure you check it out next time or check out their tour dates. I highly recommend this show to anyone, young or old. They do not disappoint!

Thank you to Arts Humboldt for continuing to bring amazing acts to Humboldt.
