The Bethany Ladies Auxiliary Dedication and art auction is set for May 5, 2022.

Patricia Heath, the fundraising coordinator for Bethany, explained what the day entails.

“It is our ladies Auxiliary dedication night. Our ladies Auxiliary has decided to disband after 50 years of dedicated service to Bethany, so we are having a dedication to them that night. Afterwards, we are having an art auction with all donated art pieces from local artisans.”

The Ladies have decided to rename a room within the building, rebranding it as the ‘Silver Willow Room’. The event will have a sign unveiling and a plaque dedicated to the ladies auxiliary.

Heath explained the group is disbanding due to health issues, and age, with the group finding it hard to find members.

“They just don’t feel they have the health to continue all the work they did do, but will continue to volunteer and help out around Bethany whenever they can.”

The celebration starts at 6:30 pm at Bethany Pioneer Village, with entertainment, a cash bar, and plenty of art to purchase.

Following the celebration, the unveiling of a stained glass window, from St. Bernards Church, will occur.

The glass dates back roughly 140 years, states Heath. A new permanent fixture to the room, with lights that will illuminate the glass.

Heath stated plans are in the works for more events to occur this summer.
