It was a busy month for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Humboldt, with lots of changes occurring.

October saw the return of their Festival of Frights, this time, in partnership with the Humboldt Lions.

“The haunted house was a great success again, we partnered with the Lions Club, and going forward, they will be taking the lead. We are happy to have them on board and work together this year. It was tons of fun, lots of screams, and we had great reviews and feedback, so just a huge shout out to the Lions Club for stepping on board, and a huge thank you to everybody that came out and participated and let us scare them,” stated Tammy Ruedig, Program Support / Development Coordinator.

Big Brothers Big Sisters also announced a new Program Coordinator in October.

“We have a new Program Coordinator, her name is Jillina [Beaudoin], and she will be in charge of all our matches and programming here in town, we are happy to have her on board and looking forward to getting some programs and stuff running here this winter.”

An upcoming program for the organization is “Ignite a Little Sparkle”.

“Ignite a Little Sparkle is our annual campaign that runs in all of Big Brother Big Sisters in Saskatchewan, of course, anything we raise here in Humboldt stays here in Humboldt to support our youth. Save the date for that, it kicks off on Giving Tuesday, which is November 28.”

It was a busy month for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and the organization is looking forward to seeing what November brings.
