It’s time to dust off those bowling skills and show what you have got at this year’s Bowl For Kid's Sake event, held by Big Brothers Big Sisters Humboldt.

This year, the event will be held February 6 - 12 at Kemway Lanes.

“How it works is you enter a 5-6 person team by calling the bowling alley and picking out a timeslot during the week. Collecting pledges from family and friends around the community, and have fun,” says Tammy Ruedig, Fundraising and Program Support for Big Brothers Big Sisters Humboldt.

Fun and Flannel is this year's theme, says Ruedig. “Get out your plaid shirts, pajamas, whatever it is that you have that is flannel, come on down to the bowling alley and have some fun.”

She says there are some great prizes available to win whether that be arriving best-dressed individual, best-dressed team, or even highest pledge earner.

“Bowl For Kid’s Sake is obviously not just about the bowling, it's about the kids, and more than ever our impact is relevant, and our mission is urgent for the littles and the families in our program. The trusting and personal relationships they have with their bigs continues to be vital, so at Big Brothers Big Sisters, we’re committed to providing critical resources, offering support, and ensuring the well-being of our entire BBBS family. Of course, this is only made possible through the support of the community and everybody that participates in these events.”
