Get out the bottles, cans and containers, bundled them up, and leave them out for the busy volunteers with the Bill Brecht Park Playground Committee this Saturday and Sunday. It’s the latest fundraising effort by the group as the enter the drive for dollars in phase 2.
The equipment for phase 1 is in and workers have begun the installation with concrete poured just before a hard freeze up. The sand goes in this weekend and the structure will be ready for kids.
Now the fundraising ramps up again for the second and final stage of equipment purchase. A zip line and more inclusive elements are on the list. So those bottles and cans are important in helping make the southside park a reality. Set them out on your doorstep for the weekend pickup.
