Tonight’s the night. Friday March 22 kicks off playoffs for the SJHL and the Humboldt Broncos, and nobody’s more set, and excited, than the Broncos themselves.

It’s always a long season and a grind heading into the playoffs. For the Broncos, the playoffs are made sweeter with their recent performances allowing them the Division title and third place in the League.

Choiceland’s Landen Stromme can’t wait for the Weyburn Red Wings to arrive on Friday night and begin one of the biggest contests of his hockey career. He’s been a big part of the Bronco attack, and with newcomer defenseman Oakley McIlwain, who adds size and defensive moxy to the squad, it’s a one-two punch.

We caught up with the pair this week. Enjoy the conversation below, and get set for lift-off tonight, 7:30 at the EPA first the first of two playoff openers.
