The Humboldt Broncos and the City have joined forces to help make their 10 Tuesday home games this year more affordable for families.

The Broncos put together a "Toonie Tuesday" promotion which sees anyone 18 and under getting into the game for just $2.

For example, a family of two adults and two children would be $45, under the new promotion that will cost just $34.

Not to be outdone, the City of Humboldt who manages the concession at the games will offer food specials. Beginning this Tuesday you will be able to take advantage of a rotating food special. For the first game they will offer a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and fries for just $7.50 or a hotdog and fries with a juice box for $5.

"With school, work and lots of activities going on, we wanted to take the stress out of meal planning and encourage families to come to the UNIPLEX to enjoy a meal and a great hockey game in support of the Broncos," City of Humboldt Food Services Manager Chelsea Wytrykusz said in a news release.
