The Humboldt Broncos remain undefeated in the SJHL following a trio of games this weekend on their northern swing.

The Friday Night visit to La Ronge ended in a 2-0 win for the Horsemen with the power play clicking on both goals. Newly acquired Timothy Kim picked up his first SJHL goal in the second period, while Daylan Weigle wrapped up scoring with a second power play goal in the third.

The encore on Saturday was a 5-4 overtime squeaker with the Ice Wolves striking first to take a 2-0 lead at the end of the first frame. Wolves’ Ryan Silzer and Ethan Strik did the damage.

Maddox Amaral and Carsten Kayter responded with a goal each to tie, but the game see-sawed in favour of La Ronge once again.

Alec Saretsky and Xavier Roy potted a pair to give the Broncos a third period lead but Wolves' Flynn Maxcy put the game into overtime. Once again Tim Kim fired the winning shot, proving himself a valuable addition to the Broncos’ attack.

Then it was off to Flin Flon for a little revenge from last year's postseason.

Again both goaltenders, Tristan Boileau and Harmon Laser-Hume, kept their respective teams on the hunt with a 1-1 score at the end of regulation time, but it was Xavier Roy’s OT goal with the assist from Noah Barlage that gave the Broncos a clean slate for the weekend.

Some well deserved time off through the Thanksgiving weekend. The Broncos will be back on home ice on Tuesday Oct. 11 as the Ice Wolves make a return visit.
