It came down to a couple minutes overtime, but the Melville Millionaires came up fast in the third period to erase a Humboldt Broncos lead and take a 6-5 victory last night in Melville.

The Mills struck first in the opening frame, by Spencer Bell tied it up.

Humboldt got the edge in the second period scoring four goals to the Millionaires two. Goals came in from Maddox Amaral, Jacob Strizzi with his first Bronco goal, Brayden Skogstad and Daylan Weigel.

Humboldt saw a two-goal lead evaporate in the third, leaving the Mills’ Boston Harkness to put away the game two minutes into overtime.

The Broncos will shake this one off and get set for a home and home this weekend against Division leading North Battleford North Stars. Game time away on Friday is 7:30, back home on Saturday for a 7 pm tilt. Catch the call here on 107.5 Bolt FM.
