Coloured lights can signify an important time period for different groups of people. With Ovarian Cancer Day being named for May 8th, the City of Humboldt was showing its support right out front of City Hall.

The City of Humboldt had recently implemented new wirelessly controlled RGB colour changing lights in the pot lights lining the front of city hall. They were lit up in a teal hue for the awareness day. Mayor of Humboldt Rob Muench told us how the lights were a needed addition to show support for some of our community members.

"This idea was implemented after Sheila Moorman and myself talked about what we could do for Ovarian Cancer Day. This is just one of the many things we can do to support these types of groups within our city."

The easily changed lights will become a staple for numerous recognition days in the future.
