Residents are getting into the Easter spirit while remaining socially distant.

On Sunday, March 22 the Compagna family at 321 7th street decided to decorate their front yard fence with some coloured eggs. Amanda Compagna and her two children, Zoey and Dylan, felt the community could also pitch in their own eggs to add to the collection and put some smiles on people's faces.

"My kids think some people are sad or scared right now, so they are hoping people walking or driving will smile at the fence and it will brighten up their day."

Since Compagna invited the community on Facebook to pin their own eggs, there have been over 65 eggs pinned on the fence. Even people from outside the community were trying to find a way to deliver their eggs.

"I have been receiving emails from people in Alberta, Ontario, and even someone in England even said they wanted to send one in."

The family hopes to fill the entire fence with coloured eggs. This has now created a sense of interaction, but it also allows for social distance from others.

If you wish to pin an egg you can mail it in at Box 1594 Humboldt, SK S0K 2A0. You can also stop by and pin it on the fence yourself with a smile and from Zoey and Dylan.
