Deloris Sutherland (née Credgeur)
March 16, 1937 – June 6, 2024

Deloris Sutherland (née Credgeur) was born on March 16th, 1937, to parents James and Catherine Credgeur. She grew up on a farm near Viscount, Saskatchewan. In 1956, she married Robert Wilson, and they began a life together on a farm nine miles from Plunkett, Sk. Deloris and Robert had four children: Cathy, Linda, Rosanne, and Kenny, on the farm before moving into the town of Plunkett. She was a very social person and thoroughly enjoyed entertaining a house filled with guests. Deloris was an excellent cook as well as baker and sugar was never skimped on. Her air buns, butter tarts, other assorted pastries and pies were served to everyone’s delight. Deloris was a 4-H leader, participated in curling, acting in local theater, and ladies aid. She loved berry picking, gardening, pickling, and jam making. She also made time for crocheting and sewing. Her husband Robert passed away in 1989, and six years later she married Ken Sutherland. She always said how lucky she was to have two great men in her life. As Deloris’s health declined Ken was devoted to making sure she always had the best of care. She passed away on the early morning of June 6, 2024, at the Manitou Lodge in Watrous. Deloris leaves behind: her husband Ken Sutherland; children: Linda Mazer, Rosanne Mattson, and Kenny Wilson; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sisters: Margaret Lees, Irene Giddings, and Florence Gray; and brothers Dennis and Ervin. The list of loved ones is endless. She will be greatly missed. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert Wilson (1989) and her daughter Cathy Turnbull (2017).
