The excitement has been brewing in Bruno with the magical combination of Denim and Diamonds on every lady’s mind as November 19 approaches. The fundraising event for the Bruno Childcare Centre features Saskatchewan’s own Lisa Moen in performance with her band. Complete with a cocktail hour, supper, plenty of sparky prizes and much more, the ladies’ night out evening promises to be the hit of the winter season.
“We have some amazing prizes to give away,” says Jodi Tremel with the Bruno Childcare Centre Committee. “There are going to be live auctions, along with a waiter auction and a whole buffet of silent auction items as well.”
The organization is continuing to collect auction items from donors right up to the day before the event, so to get your items on the list, connect with any member of the committee.
The organizing committee is excited to welcome well-known Saskatchewan entertainer Lisa Moen to headline the event. Moen’s high energy stage show is a great centrepiece for the evening, and she’s excited to share in the revelry.
“I have my denim and my diamonds all ready to wear,” laughs Moen. Her full country rock ensemble will be along for the excitement. Moen is a 20 year veteran of performing, hailing originally from Outlook. “We are a country rock band, but we do pop classics as well, old country, new country, basically all the music that people want to dance, party, and have a great time to.
Moen sees the venue as a chance for people to get together once again, to celebrate not only the spirit of the season, but just being back together.
“We have so many things to celebrate right now,” says Moen, enthusiastically. “We should just get together and dance the night away - I’m just so excited - it’s going to be an absolute hoot.”
Moen’s excitement is infectious as more and more prizes are added to the auction slate and the energy mounts.
Tickets for the event are $60 each and are available from the Bruno Credit Union, Bruno Lumber or by contacting Tessa Basset at (306) 380-8472. The event gets under way at the Bruno Community Hall at 6:00 pm for cocktails, followed by supper at 7:00 pm. Don’t miss out.
