The East Central 18U AAA Red Sox were on the receiving end of the Saskatoon Diamondbacks’ bats last night as the Diamondback emerged victorious 13 - 6.

The Diamondbacks went to work in the first with a trio of runs. The Red Sox responded with a pair, but the D’backs started to pull away in the third with another three runs. The Saskatoon squad struck again in the fourth with 5 runs, and despite three hit nights from Marek Yeager and Dallen Rude, the Sox couldn't regain ground. 

Cory Wouters tagged four hits for the Diamondbacks, an opening single, two more singles in the third and fourth innings, and a home run in the fifth. Carter Casey was credited with the win, pitching four innings and surrendering two runs. Joel Bauml took the loss for the Red Sox. 

The AAA Red Sox have a string of away games starting this Sunday in Yorkton.
