Telemiracle is now just under three weeks away but local events raising funds for the telethon are continuing in the region.

On Wednesday, Diamonds of Detroit is holding a fun night to boost funds for Saskatchewan people.

Owner Olivia Coffyne explains more.

"We're having a ladies fun curling night this coming Wednesday. The event starts at 6:30, it's for all women to come out and enjoy the evening. There's going to be prizes, food and just to get out and have a good time."

Registration is $100 dollars per team. The deadline to register for the event is the end of the day Tuesday. You can call Diamonds of Detroit at 682-4130 or email dofdsales@sasktel.net

All registered ladies will have a chance to win a $75 gift card plus other door prizes. The first five teams to register all get prizes as well.

"I like giving back to the community and supporting local and regional fundraising initiatives so we thought this would be a good one," Coffyne added.

Telemiracle 40 will take place March 5th and 6th in Regina.
