If your interested in conservation, wetlands and the outdoors Ducks Unlimited is looking for you.

Ducks Unlimited is holding their recruitment night this coming Tuesday in the basement of Johnny's Bistro.

Dave Atamanchuk with DU explains some of the things committee members are tasked with.

"Some of the committee members help with Green Wing Day, that's the kids fun day. Putting on the fundraising banquet and those funds are of course used for Ducks Unlimited purposes to do our daily business around the province and the country. Putting in projects, preserving, securing and improving habitat."

Atamanchuk explained why the work Ducks Unlimited does is so important.

"You know people don't realize how much Ducks Unlimited does in the area, how many projects we have on the go. Conservation is important and we are losing habitat at an alarming rate. If anyone is interested in helping out and being a part of conservation, its Canada's #1 conservation organization."

He says if you would like for information on helping out, come to there recruitment night.

"November 3rd we are trying to recruit volunteers for our Ducks Unlimited committee. We are doing the recruitment night at Johnny's Bistro. We want to let people know to come out if they are interested in learning about DU and joining the committee in any way shape or form."

Atamanchuk says its not necessary but pre-registration is appreciated. You can do so by calling Dave at 306-231-8559 or e-mailing at d_atamanchuk@ducks.ca
