In spite of a smoky and chilly evening, the East Central 18U AAA Red Sox kept up their winning ways last night with a victory over the Saskatoon Giants at James Korte Field.

The game opened as a defensive standoff with the score deadlocked at zero until the third when a single by Cade Armstrong got the ball rolling. The Sox picked up a pair in the third and another run in the bottom of the fourth after a Cam Marshak double.

Saskatoon picked up its sole run off a sacrifice fly by Jason Carbno. Dallen Rude rounded out the scoring when he took home on a wild pitch.

Marek Yeager got the win on the mound as the Red Sox rolled to a 4-1 win.

Next action is this weekend as the Sox take to the road for a trio of out of towners. Friday they’ll take on the Black Gold 47s, Saturday it's the Sask5 Giants, and Sunday they’re off to Regina to face the Wolfpack.
