Elizabeth Ann Caillon
March 29, 1929 – March 9, 2023

Elizabeth Ann (née Lang) (Wright) (Schmidt) Caillon of Cudworth, SK, (and formerly of Humboldt, SK), died peacefully at Cudworth Nursing Home on Thursday, March 9, 2023. She was 93 years of age. Elizabeth was the first born to Michael and Johanna (née Miller) Lang and grew up on a farm near Middle Lake, SK. She fell in love and married Frank Wright in 1951, and they raised seven beautiful children together. Elizabeth loved gardening, flowers, dancing, playing cards, quilting, crocheting, curling, time at the lake cottage, and spending time with her family. She was extremely fortunate to have had three wonderful men in her life. In 2016, Elizabeth left Humboldt and moved to Cudworth. “The family would like to thank all the staff at St. Michael’s Haven and those at the Cudworth Nursing Home who truly cared for their mother.” Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her seven children: Valerie (Murray) Milne of Cudworth, SK, Ronald (Sandra) Wright of Brantford, ON, Daniel (Debbie) Wright of Maple Bay, BC, Cheryl (Harold) Bieringer of Arborfield, SK, Diana (Gary) Schlosser of Lloydminster, SK, Trudy (Ron) Synchena of Katepwa Beach, SK, Kim (Mark) Bunz of Blind Bay, BC; seventeen grandchildren: Vanessa, Bryce, Eric, Cameron, Jacob, Chad, Jason, Lindsay, Kyle, Carlee, Nichole, Shauna, Shannon, Katrina, Chelsey, Justin and Tyler; thirty great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by two sisters: Anne and Lora; four brothers: Conrad (Jayne), Paul (Mary), Robert (Donna), and Richard (Muriel); sisters-in-law: Doreen, Angie and Rita; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands: Frank Wright (1983), Walter Schmidt (1999), and Rene Caillon (2016); daughter: Mary (in infancy); grandsons: Shawn Bieringer and Marlon Kuemper; son-in-law: Brian Kuemper; parents: Michael and Johanna (née Miller) Lang; sisters: Linda Lang and Leona Lang; brothers: Leo Lang, Joe Lang, Ed Lang, and Roy Lang; sisters-in-law: Myrna Lang, and Catherine Gunderson; brothers-in-law: Ewen Wright, Nelson Wright, and Orval Gunderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Prayer Service for Elizabeth was held at Schuler-Lefebvre Funeral Chapel, Humboldt, on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., officiated by Janice Dobmeier. Others taking part were: Erika Rybinski, organist; Mark Bunz and Cyndy Lang-Scott, scripture readers; Ron Wright, intentions. The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt, on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Colin Roy. Others taking part were: Murray Milne, cross bearer; Katrina Robinson and Vanessa Hepp, scripture readers; Jason Wright, intentions; Tyler Bunz and Bryce Kuemper, gift bearers. Music ministry was provided by director Loretta Schugmann, with pianist Carol Esler and members of the St. Augustine Parish Funeral Choir. Active pallbearers were Ronald Wright, Daniel Wright, Harold Bieringer, Gary Schlosser, Ron Synchena, and Mark Bunz. Honorary pallbearers were “All those who were a part of Mom’s life”. Interment followed at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery, Humboldt. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Michael’s Haven (PO Box 220, Cudworth, SK, S0K 1B0).
