The votes came in last Sunday and the winner of Humboldt’s first ever Little Miss Humboldt was Phoebe Azekiah Rinos. She is five years old, and she wowed judges with her dancing skills with a hula hoop.

The event was all part of the successful Humboldt Music & Food Festival hosted by Humboldt Ink and Stage One Productions. As the winner, Phoebe received a $50 gift certificate from A Line Furniture, a $25 gift certificate from Brickhouse Clothing, and $50 cash. She also received a gift certificate from the Dollar Store, along with a goodie bag, winners’ certificate, and the coveted sash and crown.

The biggest reward was the opportunity to walk the runway at the Bathala International Fashion Show in Calgary this coming October.

The other contestants included Amarah Catacutan (5), Skylar Maranan (4), Akira Jhay Santos (4), Alita Macatanggay (4) and Saysia Schulitz (4). All received a goodie bag and a Dollar Store gift certificate, $25 cash each, and certificates.

Everyone had a wonderful time in this new addition to the popular summertime festival. Look for the Little Miss Humboldt event to become a regular part of Humboldt’s Music & Food Festival in the future.
