Saskatchewan RCMP members responded to five different accidents in central Saskatchewan Thursday morning, they are also reporting numerous close calls with drivers speeding when there was zero visibility.

At 6:15 am the Saskatoon RCMP responded to a collision on Highway 16 at Clavet. A westbound car crossed the centre line and struck an eastbound semi unit pulling a trailer.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital in Saskatoon with undetermined injuries. The semi driver wasn't injured.

The police report that a car speeding through the scene and clipped a firefighter, thankfully he was uninjured.

RCMP in Outlook and Rosthern responded to crashes, the Warman RCMP attended two different accident scenes, all before 10 o'clock.

In all, eight people suffered injuries, ranging from minor to undetermined.

Weather was a factor in all these incidents.
