Courtney Saliken, formerly from Humboldt, is now thankful he decided to add ALL-IN to his POKER LOTTO ticket. Going ALL-IN made his prize jump from $10,000 to $154,170.60.

Saliken purchased his ticket for the May 12 draw at the 7-Eleven Food Store at 132 McClocklin Rd. in Saskatoon.

When his instant win showed on the screen, he assumed it was just an advertisement until the cashier told him that number was his winnings. The cashier claimed it was the largest prize for a ticket sold at the store.

One of Saliken’s three hands matched a Royal FLush, winning him $10,000. Another hand of his matched a pair of jacks or better for $2, plus the $144,170.60 ALL-IN jackpot. Saliken had added the ALL-IN option for $1 upon purchasing the ticket.

“I was in complete shock,” Saliken said. “When I got home, I called my wife, asking if she was sitting down. I took a picture of the ticket and sent it to her.”

“We've talked for years about what it would feel like to win,” continued Saliken. “I thought it was starting to sink in, but maybe it will when the cheque comes.”

Saliken plans to put his winnings towards debt and a vacation.

“It's just surreal and a bit of a shock. It's unbelievable,” Saliken added.
