The provincial high school badminton bracket is starting to be narrowed down, as playdowns begin.

In the Horizon Central Athletic Association, pre-districts took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, with forty athletes coming out to represent the region at districts.

Two teams or singles players advanced from each pre-district, which was broken up into four territories.

Qualifiers will participate in the district playdowns which will be held at Humboldt Collegiate Institute on Saturday.

The top two teams in each category will move on to regionals, which will also be in Humboldt on Saturday, May 7. Provincial finals will be played out at HCI as well on Saturday, May 14.
