The Humboldt and District Museum is hosting an event in partnership with Futuristic Industries for its 50th Anniversary.

“Our hope for this exhibit is to showcase the art and the abilities of the individuals that we serve. Art has created an opportunity for them to express themselves verbally and creatively. Sometimes, as part of a community that hasn’t had an opportunity to be involved in the “bigger-than”, you don’t have as many chances to shine as other folks do outside our walls. Not only do we have talented artists and people here, but there is a wide variety of abilities and it is our hope to celebrate that with the rest of our community,” said Ray Whitton, Executive Director of Futuristic Industries.

The opening reception will take place at the Humboldt and District Museum on Thursday, April 27, at 1:30 pm.

It's a chance to meet the artists, enjoy some refreshments, and learn what Futuristic Industries means to Humboldt and the area.

There is no cost to attend the event, and it is open to everyone.
