It was all about offense in last night's Sask Premier Baseball League Matchup between the East Central 18U AAA Red Sox and the Saskatoon Giants.

The Sox got off to an early start in the second inning off a Joel Bauml double that scored the opening run.

From there the two teams duked it out scoring multiple runs in opposing innings through to the 4th. The Giant’s Easton Brons doubled to centre field to kick things off for the opposition with a pair of runs, and Brons himself would cross the plate on an error to wrap up the first.

The Red Sox responded in the second with single RBIs by Cam Marshak and Jack Biemans, followed up by another Bauml double to bring in an additional run. The East Central team would make it 5-3 in the 3rd on a Dylan Smith single.

The Giants answered big time with a series of singles that brought in four runs in the bottom of the 3rd to take the lead. The Sox bounced back next inning to regain the advantage on a series of errors by the Giants, but undaunted, the Giants posted 3 more in the bottom of the 4th that would make the difference, leading to their 10-8 victory.

Giants pitcher Boston Bast took the win going four and two-thirds innings, allowing 8 runs and striking out 2. The Red Sox combined for 11 hits on the night.

The AAA Red Sox wrap up the regular season with a double header in Regina on Sunday against the Athletics.
