The holiday season has officially launched in Humboldt with the Festival of Wreaths opening on Thursday, November 16. Once again, Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery supporters, artists, craftspeople and local businesses have come through with an outstanding array of items on which to bid.

The Festival of Wreaths is a major fundraiser for the Museum and Gallery, and it brings together area residents to marvel at the Christmas themed displays. This year there is the usual lineup of ornate wreaths and Christmas wall hangings, but there’s lots of other seasonally inspired décor from animated trains to quilts, photographs, wood and metal designs, and much more. There are lovely items of seasonally inspired apparel to spark the auction action.

The Gallery also anchored the hot chocolate and kids treats for the downtown Moonlight Madness, sponsored by the Humboldt Downtown Business Improvement District.

All of the items are on display at the Gallery throughout the holiday season. There are two ways to get in on the bidding. First, head down to the Gallery and take in the display live while you place your bids. Then you can monitor the bids for your favourite items online at humboldtmuseum.ca/auction. Either way, you won’t want to miss out on this year’s stunning collection of classic Christmas items.

Enjoy the fun and excitement of this year’s Festival of Wreaths at the Humboldt and District Gallery.
