Kids this summer will have a great opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills, and best of all, stay physically active in a wide variety of recreational activities. The programs take place between July 3 and August 21 on designated days.

Prairie Sky Collective is hosting a Central Saskatchewan Summer Camp Program. The program is free for youth 8 to 11 years of age. There are numerous avenues for summer fun, says Whitney Shussel, coordinator for the program. The activities run out of the Prairie Sky Collective Athletic Central and adjacent board room, the home of Taproot Yoga and Feel Good Fitness classes.

The good news is that the program is time flexible throughout the summer months.

“You can register for any of the days; you don’t have to be available for all of the eight weeks that the program will run,” Shussel explains. “It’s going to run from 1:00 to 3:30 pm.”

The programming was made possible by a grant from the Community Initiatives fun along with the sponsorship of the Prairie Sky Collective.

There are four different activities from which to choose on two different occasions.

  • Yoga and Movement – July 17 and August 14

  • Athletics - July 3 and 31

  • Arts and Crafts – July 10 and August 7

  • Plants and Nature – July 24 and August 21

Children are welcome to register for as many of the sessions as they would like.

Anyone wishing to register can email whitney@pscollective.ca. Prairie Sky Collective is at 606 9th Street in Humboldt.
