The over 130 gymnasts at Calico Gymnastics are looking forward to an evening of excitement next Friday, September 18th.

The club is hosting Olympian Brianne Theisen-Eaton along with her husband Ashton Eaton at their 'Dream Big, Achieve Bigger' gala to continue to raise funds for their new facility project.

Calico Gymnast Donnell Smith explained why it's so important for them to reach their goals and get into a new building.

"The building that we're in right now isn't really gymnastics safe so we wanted to build a new one for it so we can have, our big thing is that we want a foam pit really bad, so we want to build a foam pit and build new things."

Smith added that the club is hoping for a sellout so you won't want to wait with getting tickets that are available at Humboldt Pharmasave.

Heather Graf, another gymnast at Calico says it means a lot to them to have the Olympians at the gala, especially Brianne who is an inspiration for any athlete in the city.

"Since she's from here in Humboldt, since she can become a big thing in the world, we can too."

The club has received some very large donations for the project but this gala will play a major role in getting them to their goals of purchasing a new building.

Tickets are $60 each or tables of 8 can be purchased for $450.
