Harvey Arthur Cote
September 23, 1939 – December 11, 2021

Harvey Arthur Cote was born on September 23, 1939, at the Ashdown home at Peesane, Saskatchewan. He had many different types of work in his lifetime. He started with farming at the beginning of his working career, and ended with his job as a welder’s helper by the time he retired. Harvey loved to visit and socialize with family and friends. Throughout his years, he lived and travelled to numerous places, and then spent his later years at Parkland Place in Melfort, SK. Harvey’s family would like to express their gratitude for the amazing care and family-like atmosphere that was provided for him at Parkland Place in his last years. Harvey will be lovingly remembered by his children and their families: Lorraine Cote (Frank Bartel) and her children, Wendy Sagh (Brandon Gray) and son Jett, Jocelynn Sagh (Lambert Myburgh), and Stacey Sagh (Nick Dufault); Pamela Cote (Brent Kline) and her children, Arland Canevaro, Amanda Canevaro, Bradley Canevaro and son Kashdin, Joshua Canevaro, Travis Canevaro, Savhanna Kline and Kayden Kline; and Darryl Cote (Carol Freriks) their children Kenneth Cote, and Brice Cote; his siblings: Gloria Thompson, Pat Magnus (Bill), Connie (Dave) Droboth, Vivian Gittens, Bev (Frank) Ofukany, Marilyn (Ken) Baer, Joanne Fleury, Shirley (Larry) Prosofsky, and Raymond (Connie) Cote; and by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Harvey was predeceased by his daughter Theresa Ann Cote, grandson Ashton Cote, parents Joseph and Annie Cote, brother Kenneth Cote, and sister Jaqueline Cote (infancy). The Funeral Service was held for Harvey on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., in the Tisdale & District Golden Age Centre, Tisdale, SK, with Wendy Saga as MC. Others taking part were: Jocelyn Sagh, family reading; Kenneth Cote, eulogist; and Stacey Sagh and Brice Cote, urn bearers. Harvey’s grandchildren were noted as honorary pallbearers: Arland Canevaro, Amanda Canevaro, Bradley Canevaro, Joshua Canevaro, Travis Canevaro, Savhanna Kline, Kayden Kline, Jocelynn Sagh, Wendy Sagh, Kenneth Cote, and Ashton Cote†. The memorial luncheon was held in the Golden Age Centre following the funeral service. Memorial donations may be directed to the Canadian Mental Health Organization - Saskatchewan Division, (2702 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4T 1Z4).
