A large construction project has come to completion on Highway 22 from Southey to Earl Grey.

The $14 million grading and paving project was needed after it suffered severe damage by excessive moisture and heavy truck truck traffic over recent years.

From the junction of highway 6 for 5 kilometers to the grain terminal was also upgraded to a primary weight standard to accommodate grain and delivery trucks.

Drivers are being reminded to slow down and observe posted speed limits in construction zones and when passing highway workers and equipment.
