Grab that paintbrush and get ready to head on down to the Gallery, whether you’re a seasoned painter looking for a spark of inspiration, or a beginner looking to get into the medium.
The Humboldt and District Gallery will be holding a brand-new event called “Come Paint With Us!”, a series designed for all painters.
Five accomplished local painters will be on hand at the event to help you perfect a piece you are currently working on or help you start something entirely new.
The program will run once a week for four weeks over March.
“Painters Lorraine Jansen, Laura Kneeshaw, Karen Holden, Wayne Schidlowsky, and Zyg Kondzielewski will act as mentors to the registrants, and help them hone their techniques and achieve their painting goals,” says the Gallery in a release.
The Gallery encourages you to bring a project you have already begun or a blank canvas.
“If you are unsure where to start, bring a copy of a favourite photograph to recreate. The Gallery will provide paint and brushes.”
Rates for members are $12 per session or $40 for all four. Non-members' rates are $15 per session or $50 for all four.
Sessions run from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm and are sponsored by the Friends of the Gallery.
