Preparations are already gearing up for the next Humboldt Theatre Club production. The Club is hosting an Auditions and Behind the Scenes Sign Up Night on November 19 at 7:00 pm and November 20 at 3:00 pm. The auditions will be held in a new location this year, the Reid-Thompson Public Library, says Sarah Miller with the Humboldt Theatre Club.

“What we want to do is have people come out who are interested in acting or perhaps helping behind the scenes with sound, lights, makeup, props or even prompting.”

The Club’s vision statement is to have people 17 years and older connect with other creative people to put on staged performances. As a non-profit, the money generated stays in the club for future performances.

Miller says the coming year’s production has not be chosen, but it will depend on interest from those who attend the upcoming event. Scripts for the audition night will be provided at the event - people can spend a little time rehearsing and then stand and deliver.

Miller says it doesn’t matter if you are a newcomer to the stage or a veteran, the Club is a great way to be part of local theatre.

“The Humboldt Theatre Club has lots of supportive people who will help you feel right at home.”
