Ida Aurelia Graf
July 12, 1922 – June 8, 2024

The death of Ida Aurelia (née Wilkie) Graf of Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake, SK, occurred at her residence on Saturday, June 8, 2024. She was 101 years of age. Ida was born on July 12, 1922, to John and Ida Wilkie and grew up in the district of Saxby, Saskatchewan. She had 13 siblings and together they kept busy doing many farm and household chores. Ida met Thomas Graf and they got married on April 24, 1946.Together they worked hard on their mixed farm and raised three daughters, Marlene, Valerie and Karen. They loved to dance and play cards together. Ida was a wonderful homemaker and spent many hours in the kitchen cooking and baking. She also loved to garden and sew. Ida adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they could always put a smile on her face when they were around. Ida is survived by: daughters and their families: Marlene (Dennis), family: Travis and son Austin, Jeremy, and Ashley (Nick); Karen (David) family: Alexander (Abbie), children: Alice and Addicus, and Gregory; and son-in-law Ken and his family: Jason, Trayton (Dinah) son Damian, Micheal (Sophie), children: Luke and William. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas; daughter Valerie; parents John and Ida; thirteen siblings; parents-in-law Henrey and Helena; and ten siblings-in-law. The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt, SK, on Friday, June 14, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Colin Roy. Others taking part were: Patricia Desmarais, crossbearer; Abbie Wiercinski and Ashley Britz, scripture readers; and Micheal Crowter, eulogist. Music ministry was provided by director Loretta Schugmann, pianist Melanie Ramsay. Active pallbearers were Micheal Crowter, Alexander Wiercinski, Jeremy Britz, Trayton Crowter, Gregory Wiercinski, and Travis Britz. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Crowter and Ashley Britz. Interment followed at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Ataxia Canada – Claude St-Jean Foundation.
