Local dancers still had an opportunity to show their skills in 2020.

From April 25 to the 26, Impact Dance in Humboldt participated in a virtual dance competition out of Iowa, USA. With four countries taking part, 20 dancers from Impact Dance performed in 39 dances throughout the weekend.

"It went great and our kids did extremely well. Overall we some award winners so they had a lot of fun," said Kylie Redl-Gosselin, Co-owner of Impact Dance Company.

Impact Dance came across the competition on Facebook. It gave the dancers the opportunity to perform this year with each one going into the studio one at a time on different days and record their dance. Their dance would then be sent to a panel of three judges.

"They worked hard all year long and the opportunity to get on stage was taken away from them, so this was a chance to show off their skills a bit before the year wraps up," stated Redl-Gosselin.

Impact Dance is hoping the COVID-19 Pandemic is blown over by the next dancing season so their youngsters can get on stage in 2021.
