James Frederick Siermachesky
August 30, 1958 – April 24, 2022

The family of James Siermachesky is sad to announce his passing on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was 63 years of age. James was born on August 30, 1958, in Humboldt, SK, to Fred and Annie (née Remenda) Siermachesky. He attended school in Carmel and after grade nine went to high school at Humboldt Collegiate Institute, until his graduation. During his years there, he played on the football team. For one year, James studied at the University of Saskatchewan in the Commerce program and then started to farm, with help from his mother and brother Allan. Farming was his main occupation until he had to stop, due to MS, in April of 1993. This was a difficult step to take, as James was very dedicated to farming. It was his life. Later he moved to Humboldt, as his health was in decline. He lived with his mother Annie who cared for him. When Annie passed in 2006, James chose to live independently. In October of 2020, James moved to Sherbrooke Community Centre in Saskatoon, SK. Over the years, James enjoyed computers. He loved to socialize and was known as a social butterfly. Another pastime of his was watching sports. Visiting with his family was a priority for James, he adored his niece, nephew, brother, and sister-in-law and was dedicated to them. In his own way, he touched many peoples’ lives and his sense of humour and love of practical jokes were both well known. Although his disability limited him, he faced this with courage and optimism. He always let others know how much he appreciated his friends and community for their assistance and support. He is predeceased by his parents, Fred and Annie (née Remenda) Siermachesky. He is loved and sadly missed by his family, brother Allan (Karen) Siermachesky, and family Alexander and Hannah;his many cousins, and friends.
