With over 40 years of support within the community, Humboldt's JCI chapter has certainly had its presence known.

From assisting in fundraising for the aquatic centre, hospital foundation, water ridge park, and playgrounds, they have helped engage residents with their work.

Now, the group is being recognized for their efforts.

JCI Humboldt is one of four new recipients of the Premier's Service Club Award, which honors clubs and groups that contribute to Saskatchewan communities.

Among the four recipients were also Leader, Meadow Lake, and Swift Current.

The award was founded in 2013.

"Congratulations to our latest recipients for the work you do to make your communities, regions, and our province a better place for all of us," Premier Brad Wall said. "Your ongoing efforts are very much appreciated and are another great example of what makes Saskatchewan so special."

Nominations are now being accepted for the next round of the award. The deadline to make a nomination is February 29, 2016.
