Major ag dealer Youngs’ Equipment, with dealerships across the province including Watrous, announced a donation of $500,000 to Jim Pattison children’s Hospital Foundation (JPCHF). The donation is earmarked for the Provincial Pediatric & Critical Care Transport Team and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital.

A release from the HPCHF notes that the pediatric transport team plays a crucial role in stabilizing, treating, and transporting children to the hospital in the safest and quickest way possible requiring the most advanced equipment and expertise.

A team of nurses, PICU intensive practitioners and respiratory therapists provides essential care during transport, making a life-saving difference for young patients and their families. These specialized services are important to the leadership of Young’s Equipment, according to management at Young’s.

The Foundation says that generous donors like Youngs Equipment are the backbone of providing life saving equipment and programs at the Hospital.

“This significant contribution from Young’s Equipment will enhance our provincial pediatric transport team and Saskatchewan’s only PICU, allowing us to provide comprehensive and timely care to our youngest and most vulnerable patients,” said Brynn Boback Lane, President and CEO of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation. “With their support, we can further our mission of delivering transformative pediatric care throughout Saskatchewan ensuring that every child has access to the life-saving treatments they need, regardless of their postal code. Thank you for helping us bring hope and healing to countless families.”
