Four Lake Lenore Lancers claimed individual titles on Wednesday, and overall, 12 runners qualified for provincials, as the Horizon Central Athletic Association held its district championships in Wynyard.

Jade Smith, Dalton Kiedrowski, Joel Schemenauer, and Beth Prodahl won their events, with the Lancers also winning the overall team title with a score of six points.

It was the fifth consecutive district title for the school in cross country.

The top ten finishers in each event qualified for provincials, which will take place October 17 in Saskatoon.

Horizon Central will send 60 runners to the event from Midget, Junior, and Senior categories.
