Loretta Rose Trendocher
October 25, 1937 – September 15, 2023

The family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Loretta Rose (nee Heck) Trendocher 85 years, of Prince Albert, formerly of Cudworth, on Friday, September 15, 2023, at Mont Saint Joseph Home in Prince Albert.

Loretta was born on October 25, 1937, to Anton and Martha (nee Wilde) Heck in the Cudworth District. She was one of four children blessed to the family with her being the only daughter. Loretta took her early education at St. Bertha Country School at Leofnard, SK. She attended the St. Ursula Academy in Bruno and obtained her high school diploma. Loretta later entered the nursing program at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Humboldt. She realized nursing wasn’t really a good fit for her and went on to Business College in Prince Albert.

Loretta married Peter Trendocher in October 1967 and they had four children. The children were raised on an acreage south of Prince Albert in the Red Deer Hill District. The children and Loretta later lived in Cudworth and Prince Albert.

After all of her children graduated high school in Prince Albert, she moved to Cudworth where she resided from 1993 to 2021. While in Cudworth, Loretta opened up her home to Intellectually Challenged Adults where they lived with her and she provided care for them.

When Loretta started to need more assistance she moved into Saint Michael’s Haven, where she was very impressed with the delicious and nutritious food. As she developed a need for greater care, she moved into Cudworth Nursing Home and finally, to Mont Saint Joseph Home in Prince Albert.

Loretta had many flower and vegetable gardens over the years. She was a gifted artist and especially excelled with oil paintings. She enjoyed reading, baking, listening to old time music, and watching classic TV shows. "The Waltons” and “Little House on the Prairie” were two of her favorite TV shows. She was also an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan.

Loretta leaves behind her three children, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren: Terry Trendocher of Prince Albert area. Jan (Gary) Keays of Prince Albert area and daughters: Melissa Preymack (Brandon) and children Penelope and Buster of Prince Albert and Kalie Keays of Edmonton AB. Melanie Trendocher of Prince Albert. Lisa’s son Wyatt Jensen of Prince Albert. Sister-in-law Angeline Heck of Saskatoon.

Loretta was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Jensen; parents Anton and Martha Heck; brothers: Urban Heck, Adolph Heck and Joseph Heck.

The family would like to express great gratitude toward everyone at Mont Saint Joseph Home, Cudworth Nursing Home, and Saint Michael’s Haven for their care of our mother.
